CULTURE AND ITS CREATORS
RETURN TO SELF
with Katherine
A private journey through movement, breath, heat, cold and stillness, suspended in the Costa Rican jungle.
MEET KATHERINE
_________Katherine’s work begins with a simple belief: the spaces we inhabit can change the way we feel, connect and experience the world.
A 500-hour registered yoga teacher, meditation guide and breathwork practitioner, she has spent more than eight years immersed in the study of yoga, learning from monks, gurus and master teachers rooted in India’s ancient lineages.
Alongside her personal practice, years spent curating transformational travel experiences around the world have shaped her understanding of something equally important: the extraordinary things that can happen when the right people, practices and place come together.
Today, that philosophy finds a home high among the trees of Santa Teresa.
Through The Current, Katherine invites guests into a deeply personal day of movement, breath, contrast and stillness — an opportunity to step away from the noise of everyday life and return to something simpler.

STEP INTO KATHERINE’S WORLD
A sample rhythm for the experience. Every private day is adapted to the guests, ocean conditions and the season.
Leave Santa Teresa behind and arrive at a secluded sanctuary suspended among the jungle canopy.
Begin slowly over herbal tea, fresh fruit and conversation with Katherine. There is no agenda to rush into. Instead, take a moment to arrive. listening to the sounds of jungle, noticing the body and setting a simple intention for the day ahead.
9:00am
Step onto the open-air yoga deck for a private practice surrounded by jungle. Katherine begins with guided breathwork before moving into a thoughtful flow of movement, strength and stillness, shaped entirely around your body, experience and energy that day.
The sounds of the jungle become part of the practice: birds overhead, leaves moving through the canopy and, occasionally, howler monkeys calling from somewhere beyond the trees.
9:30am
Enter the sauna for a private heat ritual. Allow the body to soften into the warmth before stepping out into the jungle air and immersing yourself in the cold plunge.
Heat.
Cold.
Breath.
Stillness.
Repeat the cycle slowly, with Katherine guiding the experience and allowing plenty of time between rounds to simply rest among the trees.
10:30am
Gather for a beautiful private lunch celebrating fresh, vibrant ingredients and the abundance of Costa Rica.
Seasonal vegetables, tropical fruits, herbs and thoughtfully prepared dishes are shared around the table. Nothing hurried.
12:00pm
After lunch, retreat somewhere quiet within the canopy.
Settle into the suspended nets or a secluded corner of the sanctuary for a guided meditation with Katherine. After a morning of movement, breath and contrast, this final practice asks almost nothing of you.
Simply listen.
Notice.
Be.
1:30pm
Integration: The remainder of the afternoon is intentionally left open.
Swim in the natural pool. Journal among the trees. Rest in the nets. Talk with Katherine over tea. Or simply do absolutely nothing.
Before leaving, Katherine guides a short closing practice and offers a simple ritual or practice tailored to you - something small enough to carry into everyday life once you return home.
2:30pm
What you’ll leave with
A private yoga, breathwork and meditation practice shaped around you.
The invigorating experience of sauna and cold-water contrast.
A deeper understanding of how breath and movement can influence the way you feel.
A simple personal practice to continue at home.
Time spent completely immersed in one of Santa Teresa’s most extraordinary jungle spaces.
And perhaps most importantly, the feeling of having had nowhere else you needed to be.
Why Katherine
There are many places to practise yoga.
What Katherine creates is something more considered.
Her understanding of movement, meditation and breath is combined with an instinct for hospitality and creating environments in which people feel completely at ease.
Rather than moving through a checklist of wellness practices, Katherine guides each guest through a carefully considered journey, where every chapter prepares the body and mind for what follows.
The experience is not about doing more.
It is about noticing more.
A different way to travel
Restoration doesn’t always require escaping from life.
Sometimes it simply requires creating enough space to experience it differently.
Katherine’s work is rooted in creating environments where movement, nature, community and intentional living can exist together - inviting people to reconnect not only with themselves, but with the landscape and people around them.
The experience leaves guests with practices they can return to long after Costa Rica: a breath, a pause, a moment of attention.
Small things, perhaps.
But often the things we lose first when life becomes busy.

Every Current experience is completely private and thoughtfully tailored to each guest.
