MEET LAURA
_________Laura has sailed the Atlantic, cycled 7,000 kilometers across South America, and led expeditions through some of the most remote landscapes on earth. Long before any of that, she learned the older skills - the ones that don't depend on a signal or a supply run: how to read a blade, coax a fire out of wet wood, and turn what the forest offers into a meal worth sitting down for.
This experience is Laura passing on the fundamentals that have kept her steady in the wild — taught the way she was taught, by doing, not by lecture, with the same care for safety that's carried her through the biggest expeditions of her life.

Grip, stance, swing, and care of the blade, practiced hands-on until it feels natural. Guests help clear and read a stretch of trail under Laura's eye.

A short trek deeper into the reserve, gathering dry tinder and wood along the way while Laura and the guide read the forest aloud — what's edible, what's dangerous, what's simply worth noticing.

Coaxing the fire
Building and lighting a fire from scratch with either bow drill or a striker - tinder, kindling, patience. No shortcuts; this is the part guests remember longest.
